Site Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Hermiston, Oregon, USA; onsite in an active industrial environment

Salary: $71,000–$97,900 per year, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Monitor and maintain conveyors, lifts, robotic vehicles, motors, sensors, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, and automation troubleshooting to resolve production-impacting issues.
• Diagnose failures involving Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, AC/DC motors, servo motors, sensors, and control hardware.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance and document repairs in CMMS systems such as Maximo.
• Analyze system data, alarms, logs, and dashboards to identify faults and recurring issues.
• Provide technical escalation support and guidance to maintenance technicians, operators, and onsite operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering, automation engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least one year of hands-on PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting experience, preferably with Allen-Bradley systems.
• At least one year of experience with VFDs, AC/DC motors, and automated equipment such as conveyors, lifts, robotics, or AS/RS.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, and Linux for diagnostics, log review, and system interaction.
• Ability to work at heights up to 45 feet, in confined spaces, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must comply with PPE, LOTO, fall protection, electrical safety, and OSHA requirements; a valid driver’s license is required.
