Autonomy Engineering Integration Specialist (Robotics)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States; onsite five days a week. The position requires up to 50% travel and relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $128,470–$208,770 annually.

What you will do

• Define and manage system-level requirements, interfaces, integration scope, validation plans, and success criteria.
• Lead system integration, verification, validation, test reviews, test witnessing, field testing, and release-readiness activities.
• Design architectures connecting autonomy middleware, machine controls, sensors, safety systems, software, hardware, and robotic platforms.
• Coordinate software, hardware, machine, site, safety, and partner teams to align architecture, implementation, and verification.
• Troubleshoot integration issues across robotic software, infrastructure, machine platforms, and customer-facing products.
• Communicate technical risks, trade-offs, system readiness, and delivery status while documenting architecture and design decisions.

Requirements

• Experience developing and managing system requirements, interfaces, integration strategies, and validation plans across complex multi-team or multi-product environments.
• Knowledge of software product design, architecture, software development life cycle practices, testing, verification, and validation.
• Technical knowledge of autonomy, robotics, embedded, software, and systems technologies, with the ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and operational issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience with systems engineering or integration for software, hardware, robotics, autonomy, or embedded product development is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomy middleware, onboard applications, machine control hardware, I/O interfaces, sensors, radar, cameras, or safety technologies.
• Knowledge of functional safety, SOTIF, collision mitigation, autonomous vehicles, or safety-critical systems.
• Experience with hirify.global products, construction, mining, heavy machinery, automotive, loaders, haul trucks, dozers, or shovels.
• Experience leading complex projects, coordinating partner teams, making architecture trade-offs, mentoring engineers, or influencing technical decisions.
