UK Risk Director (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based at the Worldpay London UK Office, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Serve as the UK Risk Officer and primary point of contact for Global Risk.
• Apply risk expertise to support responsible and sustainable business outcomes.
• Partner with local and global stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
• Communicate with executives, senior stakeholders, board members, and the FCA.
• Apply the Global Risk Management Framework, exercise judgment, and escalate key issues.
• Lead risk reporting and forums, including presentations to the UK Audit & Risk Committee.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in risk management, including risk and control evaluation.
• Knowledge of UK regulatory and risk requirements.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and meet business goals.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, attention to detail, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement from the London, United Kingdom office.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of merchant acquiring services.
• Experience with board-level reporting.
• Knowledge of UK risk management requirements.
