Location: Global remote; working hours must overlap with Eastern Time and China time. Occasional travel to meet the team in person is expected.

hirify.global helps direct-to-consumer brands ship orders from fulfillment centers in China to customers in North America, the UK, and other markets through fulfillment, freight, customs clearance, last-mile delivery, software, and AI.

What you will do

• Own the monthly close across North American and Asian entities, including consolidation, intercompany accounting, and foreign exchange.
• Lead merchant billing, order-to-cash, accounts receivable, collections, cash management, payment runs, and 13-week cash forecasting.
• Select and lead the first external audit, prepare investor and lender diligence materials, and manage monthly lender reporting.
• Coordinate US, Canadian, and Chinese tax, sales tax, VAT, and transfer-pricing compliance with external advisors.
• Improve processes, controls, and systems across QuickBooks Online, Stripe, Bill.com, and Ramp, and assess future ERP needs.
• Lead and develop the accounting team while partnering with data and engineering on billing data.

Requirements

• CPA, CA, or equivalent designation.
• 8+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years as a controller or assistant controller owning the close.
• Audit experience at a Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting firm.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency close, consolidation, intercompany accounting, high-volume billing, and collections.
• Experience leading a first audit or audit-readiness cleanup and managing teams across countries.
• Clear written English and availability for working-hour overlap with Eastern Time and China time.

Nice to have

• Mandarin.
• Experience in logistics, 3PL, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or cross-border e-commerce.
• Experience accounting for duties, VAT, tariffs, and transfer pricing.
• Financial due diligence, transaction services, or ERP implementation experience.
