Specialist, Material Management

Location: Malabar, Florida, United States; onsite. The schedule is 4/10, with 10-hour workdays four days per week. The role requires the ability to obtain a secret security clearance; security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

What you will do

• Manage supply chain activities for purchased materials, including requisitioning, prioritization, receipt, inventory, distribution, and customer disposition.
• Support procurement decisions and determine effective acquisition approaches within contract schedule requirements.
• Identify supply chain risks, create mitigation plans, and execute material delivery and inventory strategies.
• Maintain MPS data, item records, Bills of Material, and MRP requirements aligned with program milestones.
• Release complete and timely purchase requisitions to procurement and subcontracts teams.
• Analyze material-management data, report trends and budget variances, and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and at least 2 years of related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of supply chain principles, MRP, Bills of Material, and engineering drawings.
• Experience with systems such as Control, Cognos, Excel, Peoplesoft Financials, and PDM.
• Ability to work independently, solve moderately complex problems, and communicate findings with recommended actions.
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance; eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of experience using MRP systems software.
• Experience in the U.S. Department of Defense manufacturing industry.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and macros.
• Advanced supply chain knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes.
