Material Planner (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Analyze, plan, and react to make-to-order production requirements, maintaining material availability for assigned production areas.
• Control inventory levels, verify critical parts, update inventory data, and maintain accurate planning records.
• Coordinate with procurement, receiving, material handlers, and vendors to secure on-time deliveries and expedite priority orders.
• Investigate receiving, purchase order, accounts payable, inspection, and SAP discrepancies, including scrap-related records.
• Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and production losses, and ensure accurate daily billing to sister plants.
• Provide continuous issue-resolution feedback to customers and maintain housekeeping and process discipline.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution in Puerto Rico or the United States.
• At least five years of experience in effective planning; manufacturing experience is beneficial.
• Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Analytical, self-directed, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to handle complex or unprecedented situations, communicate complex information to upper management, work with manufacturing procedures, and perform physical duties including standing or walking for 80–100% of the time and handling materials weighing up to 50 lb.
