Senior Backend Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; the role is based in the office.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize backend systems and services.
• Architect and maintain reliable, high-performance database solutions.
• Implement network communications and API endpoints.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate systems across the stack.
• Contribute to technical decisions, architecture discussions, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and help solve complex technical challenges.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience focused on backend systems.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, system design, and software architecture.
• Deep understanding of databases, query optimization, schema design, and data modeling.
• Experience developing and maintaining production Python applications and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of network protocols, API design, secure communications, containerization, and orchestration.
• Experience building scalable, maintainable systems and optimizing performance.
