Backend Software Developer (SQL, Python/.NET)

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; the work model prioritizes in-person collaboration while offering flexibility and remote work support.

What you will do

• Develop, enhance, test, and maintain backend services and business applications.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, DML, DDL, and related database objects.
• Support APIs, application integrations, and data integrations with internal and external systems.
• Investigate and resolve application, integration, and data-processing issues while monitoring logs, alerts, and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, production support, on-call rotation, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Infrastructure, Deployment, and Operations Support teams and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience in software development and application support.
• Hands-on backend programming experience; Python or C#/.NET experience is advantageous.
• Experience with production application support, incident handling, and BAU operations.
• Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, stored procedures, DML, and DDL.
• Experience with APIs and system integration, strong troubleshooting skills, and good English communication skills for working in a global team.

Nice to have

• Experience with REST or SOAP APIs.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps practices.
• Exposure to ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of RBAC, auditing, encryption, or data masking.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, AML, compliance, or risk management systems.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, Confluence, or ServiceNow.
