Cobol Developer (Junior/Middle)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain COBOL, COBOL II, and eCOBOL applications for life insurance-related systems.
• Use Smart 400 and Business Object tools to deliver business solutions.
• Develop and manage DB2 databases while maintaining data integrity and high availability.
• Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
• Support and maintain Life Asia applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects.
• Participate in design, coding, testing, deployment, and compliance with security standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 1–4 years of hands-on COBOL development experience, particularly with Smart 400 and Business Object.
• Strong COBOL expertise, including COBOL II or eCOBOL, and hands-on DB2 experience.
• Experience with mainframe programming and legacy systems.
• Problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Vietnamese language proficiency is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in the life insurance industry.
