Specialist, IT App Development (DevSecOps)

Location: Hybrid work in Ohio – Columbus, Three hirify.global Plaza

Salary: $95,500–$143,500 expected starting annual range; national range up to $177,500

What you will do

• Analyze, develop, test, debug, document, and deploy software applications in an agile environment.
• Design, implement, and optimize automated deployment pipelines and development workflows using GitHub, GitHub Actions, APIs, and Harness.
• Apply DevSecOps and secure systems engineering practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Lead vulnerability remediation and strengthen the security posture of applications and infrastructure.
• Partner with engineering and platform teams to improve cloud infrastructure, deployment reliability, and automation.
• Manage medium-to-large project priorities and provide technical guidance to colleagues.

Requirements

• Four or more years of software engineering, analysis, or related technology experience.
• Completion of an undergraduate degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field; relevant technology experience or non-traditional certificates may substitute.
• Hands-on experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, GitHub, APIs, GitHub Actions, and Harness.
• Experience with Linux and vulnerability remediation.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
• Ability to analyze complex business and development problems and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Insurance or financial services industry knowledge.
