DevSecOps Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote role based in Michigan, United States

Salary: $130,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure CI/CD pipelines with automated build, test, deployment, and security scanning.
• Architect, manage, harden, and scale highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Implement container security and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Integrate SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets detection, and security gates into delivery pipelines.
• Manage secrets, IAM policies, least-privilege access, and Zero Trust architecture.
• Automate vulnerability management, threat monitoring, audit logging, anomaly detection, and incident response.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or infrastructure engineering with a strong security focus.
• Extensive experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and automated security gates.
• Expertise in Python, Bash, or Go; major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP; and cloud security tooling including IAM, Security Hub, or GuardDuty.
• In-depth knowledge of infrastructure as code, container security, vulnerability management, incident handling, and cross-functional collaboration.
