Lead Technical Program Manager, Robotaxi

Location: San Francisco, CA / Remote US & Canada; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Define and maintain the integrated robotaxi program plan across autonomy, vehicle hardware, safety and validation, fleet operations, and commercial launch readiness.
• Own program-level risk management, dependency tracking, issue escalation, and accountability for milestones and delivery dates.
• Drive launch and market-readiness planning covering vehicle readiness, ODD coverage, safety validation, site and facility readiness, and regulatory or permitting requirements.
• Translate strategy into executable roadmaps with Autonomy, Safety, Commercial, and Operations teams.
• Build executive reporting and track readiness KPIs such as ODD coverage, disengagement rates, system readiness, and rider experience.
• Establish scalable tracking processes and tooling while coordinating the robotaxi roadmap with trucking and shared platform investments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of technical program management experience leading complex, cross-functional programs from ambiguity to delivery.
• Direct experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or another safety-critical environment spanning hardware, software, and safety.
• Experience building dependency maps, risk registers, executive reporting, and milestone-tracking structures from scratch.
• Strong technical fluency across hardware, software, autonomy, and machine learning domains.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive one-pagers and technical reviews.
• Experience leading without formal authority and using Jira, Asana, or other project management tools; BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience executing driverless commercial rollouts, ODD expansions, or initial market deployments for robotic transport platforms.
• Knowledge of system safety assurance, ODD boundaries, and safety sign-off gates.
• Experience scaling fleet management, remote command facilities, or real-time operations centers.
• Experience working with policy, legal, and public affairs stakeholders on operating authorizations and permits.
• Experience applying modern AI solutions to operational tracking and decision-making.
