Senior Program Manager, Development Testing Operations (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Coppell, Texas, United States; hybrid work with office attendance at least 3 days per week

Base salary: $100,000–$145,000 per year, plus annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own, maintain, version, and continuously improve release test plans, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
• Define pass/fail and escalation criteria and audit test runs for consistent procedural execution.
• Triage test failures and coverage gaps into engineering tickets and track them through resolution.
• Partner with Engineering and Release Management on test evidence, release readiness, and go/no-go decisions.
• Compare coverage across component-level checks, regression testing, and full-release testing to identify blind spots.
• Lead improvements that streamline test scope, reduce cycle time, improve signal quality, and communicate risks and blockers to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in program management, project management, quality assurance, release engineering, or a related role.
• Experience owning or improving test procedures, QA processes, or release and quality gates in a technical environment.
• Understanding of software release testing pipelines, regression testing, and staged rollouts.
• Experience with process improvement, change management, multiple test cycles, and competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including translating technical test results into risk and status reporting.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment where release schedules change.

Nice to have

• Experience with release management, CI/CD pipelines, or regression testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Jira, TestRail, or equivalent defect-tracking and test-management tools.
• Experience managing senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholder expectations.
• Experience using dashboards or reporting tools to track test coverage, defect trends, and release readiness.
• Experience in autonomous vehicles, automotive, robotics, or other safety-critical operational environments.
