Senior/Staff Technical Program Manager (Artificial Intelligence)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; hybrid workplace

Base salary: $213,000–$295,000 per year, excluding RSUs, stock appreciation rights, and possible sign-on bonus.

Zoox is developing a fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem for mobility-as-a-service in urban environments.

What you will do

• Translate corporate strategy and milestones into detailed product roadmaps, timelines, schedules, and deliverables for autonomy teams.
• Drive cross-functional execution across Perception, Prediction & Behavioral ML, TeleGuidance, Planning & Controls, and Collision Avoidance System teams.
• Coordinate the development of measurements and datasets for Driving Behavior KPIs.
• Identify program risks and build mitigation plans.
• Prepare executive presentations covering program status, issues, risks, and accomplishments.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in engineering program management.
• Experience with AI/ML, autonomous vehicles, computer vision, large language models, reinforcement learning, simulation, automotive, or aerospace processes.
• Track record of managing complex cross-functional projects and solving problems.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including KPI and risk visualizations.
• Familiarity with software development processes and tools such as Gantt charts, risk matrices, Smartsheet, and JIRA.

Nice to have

• Experience developing and scaling strategy, processes, plans, procedures, reporting, and escalation management.
• References demonstrating strong relationships with senior leaders, program managers, and engineers across functions.
