Director of Technical Program Management for Driver Out (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, USA; hybrid working model combining office collaboration with remote work.

Salary: $299.1K–$373.4K annually, plus equity.

hirify.global is building an AI platform for autonomous driving that enables vehicles to learn from real-world experience and scale from L2+ toward L4 autonomy.

What you will do

• Own the Driver Out programme from the first eyes-off demonstration through public-road product integration and initial scaling.
• Coordinate delivery across autonomy performance and safety, system architecture, verification and validation, vehicle hardware and software, remote assistance, and operations.
• Translate complex technical, safety, and operational requirements into commitments while managing dependencies, risks, trade-offs, milestones, and launch readiness.
• Build and lead the TPM organisation, coach programme leaders, and establish governance and delivery practices for a multi-year programme.
• Represent Driver Out to senior executives and external partners, including OEMs and Uber, guiding high-impact programme and readiness decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience delivering complex technical programmes, including director-level leadership and ownership of large, multi-year, cross-organisational initiatives.
• Experience building and leading programme-management teams with responsibility for coaching, development, and performance management.
• Extensive experience with autonomous-vehicle or comparable safety-critical robotics programmes, ideally progressing toward driver-out or L4 operation.
• Fluency in safety cases, behaviour validation, functional safety, ISO 26262, SOTIF (ISO 21448), cybersecurity, and safety management systems.
• Technical breadth across autonomous driving, machine learning, vehicle hardware and software, and systems engineering.
• Ability to align senior engineering, science, safety, product, operations, and external stakeholders without relying on formal authority.

Nice to have

• Experience taking an autonomous-vehicle programme to eyes-off or driverless operation, or launching a comparable safety-critical service.
• Experience collaborating with OEMs and mobility or ride-hail partners.
• An engineering or computer science degree, or experience working as an engineer.
