Senior Technical Program Manager - Verification and Validation (Autonomy)

Zoox is developing a full-stack autonomous mobility solution for cities.

What you will do

• Translate corporate strategy and milestones into detailed product roadmaps, schedules, timelines, and deliverables.
• Partner with autonomy verification and validation engineering managers and cross-functional engineering leaders.
• Support software engineers and data engineers or scientists in building evaluation pipelines using statistics, simulation, and related methods.
• Drive the development of scalable systems for evaluating autonomous vehicle behavior.
• Identify gaps, escalate risks, drive bug closure, and track test coverage and program progress.
• Unblock teams and communicate clearly with engineering leadership and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in engineering program management.
• BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional projects and solving complex problems.
• Strong familiarity with software development processes and project management tools such as Gantt charts, risk matrices, Smartsheet, and JIRA.
• Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills, including creating visualizations of KPIs and program risks.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML, autonomous vehicles, computer vision, large language models, reinforcement learning, simulation, automotive, or aerospace processes.
• Experience working on complex safety-critical systems.
