Customer Experience Lead, Business Owner

Location: In person at the Toronto, Canada office

Salary: CAD 100,000–150,000 with generous equity

What you will do

• Optimize accounting close best practices with Product, Engineering, and AI teams.
• Partner with Sales, Partnerships, and Growth to deliver strong customer experiences.
• Design repeatable processes across the customer journey, from handoff and onboarding through year-end close and renewals.
• Identify opportunities to increase expansion revenue and customer retention.
• Build the internal knowledge base and playbook, and train future team members.
• Respond directly to customer inquiries across onboarding and support with clarity, empathy, and action.

Requirements

• Strong accounting knowledge and domain expertise are required, including experience with complex workflows across small to large businesses.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience.
• Customer-focused approach with attention to the quality of every customer interaction.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• CPA, EA, MS, or MBA credentials.
• Experience as a self-employed person, business owner, or advisor to small-business owners.
• Early-stage startup or founder experience.
• Consulting or advisory background.
