Salary: $86,320–$154,960 per year.

What you will do

• Design and execute high-throughput functional genomics assays investigating cis- and trans-regulatory mechanisms, enhancers, and super-enhancers.
• Conduct bench experiments using molecular biology, cell-based systems, genomic technologies, and imaging approaches.
• Coordinate multiple research projects and independently troubleshoot, optimize, and implement laboratory techniques.
• Generate, organize, interpret, and report high-quality experimental data and contribute to research manuscripts.
• Collaborate with multiple principal investigators and multidisciplinary teams on project and analysis design.
• Support laboratory operations through equipment maintenance, inventory management, and supply ordering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in cancer biology, cell biology, molecular biology, developmental biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
• Three years of relevant experience with a PhD, six years with a master's degree, or eight years with a bachelor's degree.
• Hands-on experience with cell culture, in-vitro cell assays, viral transduction, tissue sample handling, and at least one high-throughput sequencing assay such as ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN, ATAC-seq, Hi-C, or RNA-seq.
• Ability to lead or substantially drive complex research projects, troubleshoot workflows, and learn advanced techniques independently.
• Strong written and spoken English, presentation, collaboration, scientific rigor, and data integrity.
• Ability to work in person in Memphis, Tennessee, in a 100% on-site role.

Nice to have

• Experience with MPRA, high-throughput functional genomic screening, stable cell line generation, immunofluorescence, FISH, or confocal microscopy.
• Research experience in transcriptional condensates, enhancer biology, or gene regulatory mechanisms.
• Experience generating and analyzing large-scale genomic datasets.
• Command-line tools and commercial pipelines using cloud applications or computational clusters.
