Scientist Immunology (Biotech)

Location: South San Francisco, California; frequent onsite presence required. Candidates must be within commutable distance or able to self-relocate to the United States.

What you will do

• Design and execute in vitro and in vivo studies of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
• Identify and validate drug targets, biomarkers, and disease-relevant pathways.
• Generate data supporting lead optimization, biomarker discovery, and translational research.
• Interpret complex datasets and present findings in meetings, conferences, and publications.
• Collaborate with pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, protein engineering, computational, and translational sciences teams.
• Track advances and emerging technologies in immunology and inflammation.

Requirements

• PhD, MS, or BS in Immunology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, or a related scientific field; PhD preferred.
• Industry experience in inflammatory or autoimmune drug discovery: 0–2+ years for PhD, 4+ years for MS, or 6+ years for BS.
• Expertise in immune cell biology, innate and adaptive immunity, cell signaling, and immunological assay development.
• Hands-on experience with biochemical and cellular assays, tissue culture, multiparametric flow cytometry, ELISA/MSD, RNA and protein analysis, and CRISPR.
• Experience isolating and culturing primary murine and human cells or patient-derived samples.
• Strong problem-solving, independent working, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with inflammation or autoimmunity disease models.
• Biotech or pharmaceutical drug discovery and translational research experience.
• Experience with small-molecule and biologics drug discovery.
• Experience with genomic, transcriptomic, or proteomic multiomics analyses.
