What you will do

• Design, plan, and perform experiments for non-invasive prenatal testing and cancer detection products.
• Optimize laboratory processes, protocols, methodologies, and novel nucleic acid tests.
• Analyze experimental data using advanced analytical tools and interpret results.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks, write protocols and experimental plans, and document scientific findings.
• Troubleshoot laboratory processes and present research results to multidisciplinary teams of biologists, bioinformaticians, statisticians, software engineers, and managers.
• Prepare research reports and laboratory meeting presentations while developing expertise in increasingly complex research tasks.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in molecular biology, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–4 years of industry experience in an assay development department.
• Hands-on experience with DNA manipulation, PCR, qPCR, DNA quantitation, LabChip, and BioAnalyzer.
• Experience with Next Generation Sequencing techniques and protocols.
• Experience with basic statistical analysis; JMP, database experience, and programming knowledge are beneficial.
• Completion of HIPAA/PHI privacy, compliance, and security training is required within the first 30 days of hire, with ongoing hirify.global training requirements.
