Director, Forward Deployed (AI)

Location: Los Angeles, CA; on-site

Salary: $300,000–$415,000 annually plus equity

What you will do

• Lead the Forward Deployed team across one or more customer programs and own technical outcomes.
• Define technical roadmaps, decide what the Opus platform should cover, and deliver programs from discovery through production.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for government stakeholders, customer leadership, and defense prime partners.
• Translate customer-program learnings into improvements for hirify.global’s platform and decide which capabilities should become part of Opus.
• Hire, develop, and lead engineers, product managers, and designers while maintaining a high execution and quality standard.
• Stay hands-on through early product development, architecture, technical reviews, and delivery.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience leading engineering and product teams and scaling products from zero to one.
• Strong product judgment, commercial awareness, and experience delivering products end to end.
• Experience managing senior customer and executive relationships and making delivery commitments.
• Hands-on technical ability across architecture, design, implementation, and review.
• Experience using AI to accelerate discovery and execution and redesign team workflows around AI.
• Must satisfy U.S. Government ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Founder or founding-team experience involving customer relationships and business decisions.
• Background in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or roles combining hardware, software, and operations.
• Forward Deployed or solutions leadership experience at a product company.
