Language Lead (English to Slovak)

Location: Remote, but candidates must be currently based in Slovakia

What you will do

• Define, implement, and maintain quality standards for English-to-Slovak localization streams.
• Audit deliverables and manage the linguistic feedback loop.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate freelance translators, editors, and LQA testers.
• Provide linguistic feedback, onboarding training, and query resolution.
• Partner with Project Managers, Engineering teams, and client stakeholders to improve workflows and resolve technical or linguistic challenges.
• Monitor resource performance, quality metrics, and project delivery timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Marketing localization experience, including 2+ years as a Language Lead or LQA Specialist.
• Currently based in Slovakia with proven experience working with Slovak-language content.
• Advanced experience with translation management systems and CAT tools such as Trados Studio, Phrase, or memoQ.
• Experience with automated quality assurance tools such as Xbench.
• Strong communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to manage concurrent pipelines and tight release schedules.
