Polish Translation & Localization Specialist (Gaming)

Location: Remote within the United States. Core coverage hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time, with alternative schedules possible when coverage requirements are met.

Salary: $33.65–$43.25 USD per hour for candidates based in Washington State; midpoint of $38.45 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Translate and localize gaming and technical content from English into Polish.
• Support game releases, marketing materials, knowledge-base articles, and customer-facing communications.
• Review localized content for accuracy, cultural relevance, tone, terminology, grammar, and style.
• Manage short- and long-term translation projects, deadlines, changing priorities, and last-minute updates.
• Use computer-assisted translation tools to manage terminology, translation memory, and workflow consistency.
• Collaborate with translators, reviewers, project teams, and stakeholders while staying current with gaming terminology, platforms, hardware, and player communities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in translation, localization, linguistics, game design, or a related field.
• Native-level Polish proficiency with exceptional command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Professional translation or localization experience, including familiarity with gaming terminology.
• Experience with computer-assisted translation tools such as Crowdin, memoQ, Memsource, SDL Trados, Wordfast, or similar platforms.
• Strong organization, prioritization, time management, collaboration, and knowledge of Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to have

• Experience translating or localizing gaming and technical content.
• Passion for PC or console gaming.
• Familiarity with computer hardware, software development, game design, distribution platforms, game genres, and online gaming communities.
