English to Spanish (US based) for Life Sciences Linguist

Location: Remote, but candidates must be based in the United States or Puerto Rico

What you will do

• Translate clinical research, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance documents from English into Spanish for Latin American audiences.
• Perform machine translation post-editing on machine-translated safety content.
• Copy edit translated and post-edited content for accuracy, tone, and consistency.
• Work with client CAT tool environments, including XTM and Phrase.
• Use Track Changes in Microsoft Word according to project-specific instructions.
• Meet strict, non-extendable turnaround times for time-sensitive content.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States or Puerto Rico.
• At least two years of practical translation experience in life sciences, clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, and medical documents.
• One of the following: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies; another recognized graduate qualification plus at least two years of full-time translation experience; or at least five years of full-time translation experience.
• Familiarity with CAT tools such as XTM or Phrase; a license will be provided.
• Familiarity with Track Changes in Microsoft Word.
• Provide an up-to-date English CV detailing life sciences translation experience, document types, CAT tools used, experience duration, email address, and phone number.

Nice to have

• Degree in Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Clinical Research, Translation, Linguistics, Philology, or a similar field.
• In-house experience at a CRO or pharmaceutical company.
