Maintenance Engineering Technician

Location: Mountain Home, Arkansas, United States; onsite manufacturing plant role. Overtime, including nights and weekends, may be required.

What you will do

• Maintain automated production machinery through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to reduce downtime and support production schedules.
• Partner with engineering to develop control architectures, equipment layouts, PLC solutions, and new manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, robotic, pneumatic, hydraulic, vision, sensor, motor, servo, welding, and leak-detection systems.
• Lead contractors and technical personnel on equipment upgrades, relocations, capital projects, and new-process implementation.
• Investigate root causes, resolve supplier and technical issues, and implement improvements to reliability, quality, and throughput.
• Document maintenance work, manage basic project budgets, support plant operations, and train new Maintenance Technicians.

Requirements

• Minimum 9 years of applicable maintenance experience or demonstrated skill, or 3 years as a Principal Maintenance Technician.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; a two-year technical associate degree is preferred.
• Experience using basic hand tools and reading electrical and pneumatic diagrams; knowledge of hydraulics is preferred.
• Experience with PLC systems such as Siemens and Allen-Bradley, industrial electrical systems, and automated equipment troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work under stressful conditions, and ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and stand or walk for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Technical associate degree.
• Machining, CNC setup and programming, welding, fabrication, mold repair, or forklift maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of advanced maintenance and manufacturing practices.
