Equipment Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Nampa, Idaho, United States; second shift. The role requires on-site work and extensive travel during the first 6–12 months, primarily to manufacturing facilities in Pullman, Washington, and Lewiston, Idaho, in multiweek increments totaling approximately 8–12 weeks or more.

Salary: $34.81–$51.39 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues identified during scheduled maintenance and reactive service calls.
• Work under the guidance of supervisors and more experienced technicians.
• Enter and maintain accurate records in the equipment maintenance database.
• Travel to SEL manufacturing facilities for training, process familiarization, and relationship building during facility development.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electronic technology or equivalent experience.
• Experience maintaining and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Basic understanding of electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic technologies.
• Basic knowledge of analog and digital electronics and modern test equipment used to diagnose failures.
• Expertise in Excel, Word, and Access, along with strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to travel extensively during the first 6–12 months and perform physical duties including lifting up to 40 pounds and sitting or standing for at least 8 hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment, microprocessor circuits, vision systems, and robotics.
• Basic knowledge of programming automated production equipment.
• Knowledge of printed circuit board assembly, mechanical assembly, and cable assembly processes.
