Legal, Risk & Compliance - Legal Advisory & AI Consultant

Location: Hybrid role based in Chicago, Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Dallas, Miami, or Tampa, with work in local hirify.global offices and on client sites. Local or out-of-state travel may be required.

Salary: $66,000–$100,000 annually. Bonus target: $2,000. Estimated total cash range: $68,000–$102,000.

What you will do

• Support legal advisory, legal operations, department modernization, AI-enabled legal work, contracts, investigations, and litigation support engagements.
• Assess legal department operations, workflows, organizational needs, technology use, and transformation opportunities.
• Support AI use-case evaluation, adoption, process design, requirements gathering, testing, documentation, and governance.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, research, fact-finding, and qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Prepare process maps, playbooks, reports, presentations, executive summaries, and implementation materials.
• Coordinate assigned work among attorneys, business professionals, technology teams, and consultants while managing deadlines and deliverable quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline.
• At least one year of relevant professional, internship, or substantive project experience.
• Analytical, research, problem-solving, written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to produce accurate, reviewable documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working with structured information and data.
• Ability to collaborate with attorneys, business professionals, technology teams, and consultants and incorporate feedback.

Nice to have

• Exposure to consulting, in-house legal departments, legal operations, contracts, investigations, litigation support, compliance, technology, or professional services.
• Experience with legal technology, contract lifecycle processes, e-discovery, AI-enabled workflows, or legal department transformation.
• JD, paralegal credential, CAPM, or relevant technology certification.
