Senior Frontend Engineer I (eCommerce)

Location: Remote, USA. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require current or future employer visa sponsorship.

Base salary: $145,000–$170,000 in local currency, depending on experience and geographic location.

What you will do

• Own features in the online booking experience, including product selection, checkout, payments, scheduling, sales-assisted flows, and partner booking paths.
• Build fast, accessible customer-facing features with React, Next.js App Router, and TypeScript.
• Design frontend architecture using server and client components, TanStack Query, Zustand, React Hook Form, and Zod.
• Integrate commerce APIs and services including Stripe, Affirm, commercetools, Voucherify, Salesforce, Auth0, and Google Maps.
• Improve Core Web Vitals, bundle size, accessibility, observability, analytics, and automated test coverage.
• Lead features through production, monitor releases, contribute to code reviews and design discussions, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional frontend engineering experience, including 3 or more years with React and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with Next.js or a comparable React framework, including server-side rendering, routing, and server/client rendering tradeoffs.
• Deep knowledge of browser fundamentals, semantic HTML, modern CSS, responsive layouts, networking, caching, and rendering performance.
• Experience with state management, data fetching, complex validated forms, transactional flows, and frontend architecture.
• Strong testing experience across unit, component, and end-to-end layers, plus knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA, Core Web Vitals, CI/CD, and cloud hosting.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Stripe.js, Affirm, commercetools, Voucherify, Tailwind CSS, design systems, or component libraries.
• Experience with consent management, Google Tag Manager, privacy-aware analytics, and multi-region products.
• Growth engineering, funnel analytics, marketing attribution, referral programs, promo codes, or abandoned-cart recovery experience.
• Experience with scheduling, booking, consumer healthcare, authentication, or regulated industries.
