Senior Software Engineer (Front End) (AI)

Location: Remote

Base salary: $110,000–$165,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable user interfaces for web applications and AI safety products.
• Build clear, actionable interfaces for complex data, AI outputs, charts, graphs, workflows, and real-time updates.
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and supporting backend services.
• Create wireframes and contribute to product, interaction, and UI/UX design decisions.
• Develop reusable, scalable components and improve performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and usability.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, AI, and cross-functional teams from early concepts through production.

Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend development experience with deep expertise in React and its ecosystem.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and CSS-in-JS approaches such as Emotion or Styled Components.
• Experience with Redux, React Query, modern styling approaches, reusable component architecture, and frontend performance optimization.
• Experience building sophisticated, data-rich web applications with complex workflows and real-time updates.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and collaborating with backend services.
• Strong UI/UX understanding, problem-solving skills, technical ownership, attention to detail, and ability to provide a portfolio of past work.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tailwind, MUI, CSS Modules, or similar styling technologies.
• Curiosity about emerging frontend technologies and pragmatic evaluation of new tools and approaches.
