Cross-Border Of Counsel (Labor & Employment)

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must be licensed to practice law in the United States location where they are based and remain in good standing.

Salary: $230,000–$300,000 annually for the New York position. Other published ranges vary by state and location.

What you will do

• Advise multinational companies of different sizes on global labor and employment matters.
• Provide advice and counsel on international employment issues affecting global workforces.
• Analyze novel and complex legal issues involving multiple and potentially conflicting laws.
• Design practical, risk-based legal solutions for cross-border employment matters.
• Manage a high volume of concurrent projects while working independently and seeking supervision when appropriate.
• Contribute to writing, publishing, speaking, and firm educational initiatives.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor and active U.S. bar licensure in the state or U.S. location where based are required.
• At least 3 years of relevant employment law experience.
• Experience in advice and counsel, in-house employment law, and/or management-side employment litigation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a required writing sample demonstrating business-centric advice.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, creative problem-solving, and legal risk-assessment skills.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, workflow management, and virtual communication platforms.

Nice to have

• Fluency or native-level speaking ability in a language other than English.
• Experience across multiple listed employment law practice areas.
