Senior Labor and Employment Counsel

Location: United States; fully remote. Preferably based on the West Coast. Must be able to work hours overlapping with PX team members and Asia-Pacific colleagues.

Salary: $146.4K–$292.8K annual base salary, excluding bonus, equity, wellness allowance, and other benefits.

What you will do

• Advise leadership and business teams on US and international labor, employment, executive compensation, worker classification, separations, wage-and-hour matters, and restrictive covenants.
• Support employment and labor due diligence for M&A transactions and integrate employment terms, policies, compensation, and benefits after closing.
• Advise on global workforce expansion, including EOR, direct employment, contractor models, global mobility, and related classification risks.
• Develop workplace policies, procedures, manager and employee training, and support investigations and employee relations matters.
• Manage outside counsel on pre-litigation, arbitration, local-law matters, and employment disputes.
• Build AI-enabled legal workflows for contract review, policy drafting, and diligence while establishing practical safeguards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of legal experience advising on US and international employment, labor, and executive compensation matters.
• Experience in both in-house and law-firm environments, including high-growth and mature enterprise companies.
• Active license to practice law in at least one US state or eligibility to practice as registered in-house counsel.
• Experience with M&A due diligence, post-closing workforce integration, compensation plans, and employee or candidate data privacy.
• Hands-on proficiency with generative AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT, including protecting confidentiality, privilege, and personal data.
• Must be a US-licensed attorney or eligible to practice as registered in-house counsel.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, crypto, or other regulated financial services industries.
• Experience with Asian and/or Latin American employment markets.
• Interest in the crypto industry and its broader financial infrastructure.
