Senior Network Engineer (Office Technology)

Location: New York, New York, USA

Salary: $132,000–$165,000 USD yearly, plus equity and potential variable compensation.

What you will do

• Design resilient, scalable network solutions across LAN, Wi-Fi, routing, switching, office firewalls, and connectivity.
• Author RFCs, lead design reviews, and document architecture decisions, risks, validation, rollout, and rollback plans.
• Build production readiness through service objectives, monitoring, alerting, runbooks, capacity planning, failure testing, and operational handoffs.
• Develop reusable automation for provisioning, configuration, policy, compliance, telemetry, and change validation.
• Own the health and lifecycle of major network services, leading incident response and root-cause investigations.
• Mentor engineers, improve standards and documentation, and collaborate with Security, IT Support, Endpoints, AV, Workplace, Infrastructure, and external vendors.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience with TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, wireless, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and enterprise network security.
• Experience designing and operating resilient infrastructure across distributed offices or campus environments.
• Ability to diagnose complex issues using packet captures, logs, flow data, dashboards, and vendor telemetry.
• Experience with scripting, APIs, infrastructure-as-code, version control, testing, and CI/CD for network automation.
• Strong production engineering experience with observability, service objectives, capacity planning, change safety, incident response, and post-incident improvement.
• Candidates must be eligible for any required US government authorizations under applicable US export control regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Datadog or other observability platforms, network device monitoring, flow analytics, synthetic testing, or service-level reporting.
• Experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git-based workflows, or network automation frameworks.
• Experience with network access control, RADIUS, 802.1X, segmentation, VPNs, identity-aware networking, or zero-trust networking.
• Experience delivering global office expansions, infrastructure refreshes, or complex migrations.
