Sourcing & Planning Manager (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

hirify.global is an early-stage hardware startup building semiconductor fabrication equipment, including the required hardware, software, tools, and components.

What you will do

• Own material planning and MRP execution for high-mix semiconductor-fab assemblies.
• Source machined parts, electronics, and raw materials while negotiating with suppliers and performing should-cost analysis.
• Qualify second sources, manage long-lead and end-of-life purchases, and control stocking, excess, and obsolescence risk.
• Own purchase orders, expedite late deliveries, and manage inbound freight, customs, and tariff exposure.
• Partner with production and engineering on design-for-manufacturability, revision cut-ins, and clear-to-build readiness.
• Help develop in-house manufacturing software and evaluate supplier performance across delivery, quality, and cost.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or material planning for physical products.
• Experience executing MRP in a production ERP, including demand planning, purchase-order placement, and shortage recovery.
• Experience with supplier negotiation, should-cost analysis, and sourcing across machined parts, electronics, and raw materials.
• Experience planning materials through rapid design changes, revision cut-ins, and obsolescence.
• Ability to support compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations; offers are contingent on the ability to work in compliance with applicable controls.
• On-site work in Austin, TX is required.

Nice to have

• Experience ramping new products into high-volume production.
• Familiarity with SQL, Go, Postgres, TypeScript, React, or REST.
• Familiarity with U.S. export control regulations, including EAR and ITAR.
