Sourcing Manager (Hardware)

Location: Mountain View, California, or remote within the United States; hybrid work

Salary: $175,000–$400,000 for mid-career candidates or $250,000–$600,000 for senior-career candidates, plus equity

What you will do

• Develop and execute global strategic sourcing strategies for datacenter racks and critical hardware components.
• Lead supplier selections, RFX processes, commercial negotiations, and pricing agreements.
• Manage supplier relationship programs, executive business reviews, and supplier scorecards.
• Partner with Hardware Engineering to assess market capabilities, influence design for total cost of ownership, and reduce single-source risks.
• Manage rack-level integration partners and support the transition from early development to volume supply.
• Collaborate with Legal and Contract Management on commercial and engineering agreements while driving cost-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, global supply management, or procurement within high-tech, rack manufacturing, or advanced hardware industries.
• Experience negotiating complex multi-million-dollar contracts with tier-1 suppliers.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to work with hardware architects and engineering leads.
• Deep knowledge of supply chain dynamics, risk management, and vendor cost structures.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and strategic leadership skills.
• Ability to take end-to-end category ownership in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
