Operational & Technical Accounting Consultants – Automation & AI Transformation Projects (AI)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, California, United States. Hybrid, remote, and onsite workplace arrangements are available.

Pay range: $80 per hour.

What you will do

• Partner with clients to streamline accounting workflows using automation tools, AI solutions, and advanced analytics.
• Support or lead ERP integrations, system transformation efforts, process redesign, and reporting enhancements.
• Develop and maintain operational accounting deliverables across close, consolidation, and reporting cycles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize practices and improve data integrity and insight delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that help finance functions scale and adapt to digital environments.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in operational and technical accounting, including GL close, reconciliations, consolidation, or financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience integrating automation, AI, or data tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or custom scripting into accounting workflows.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, modeling, and automation logic.
• Experience with large ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or similar.
• Strategic thinking combined with precise execution in fast-paced environments.
• Adaptability, collaboration, and a consulting mindset for varied project-based opportunities.
