Senior Accountant (AI/SaaS)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; in-office four days per week and remote work one day per week

Annual base salary: $90,000–$150,000

What you will do

• Own month-end close activities for assigned accounts and entities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and related deliverables.
• Prepare monthly flux analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts and explain material variances.
• Support reporting for foreign entities by coordinating with external service providers.
• Maintain state and local compliance filings and prepare schedules for audits and tax returns.
• Identify and implement accounting process improvements and financial system enhancements.
• Collaborate with and cross-train other accounting team members while taking on broader responsibilities as the business grows.

Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and FASB financial reporting principles.
• Experience with NetSuite or an equivalent ERP system and strong Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and workload-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Genuine interest in using AI tools to improve close, reconciliation, and reporting workflows.

Nice to have

• CPA license.
• Experience at a growing SaaS or technology company.
• Familiarity with Airbase and Carta.
