Sr. Information System Security Officer I (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities with DHS customers and internal engineering teams to obtain and maintain full Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Perform continuous monitoring, analyze scans, logs, accounts, and vulnerability results, and prepare monthly security reports.
• Write and review RMF documentation and design and execute security testing plans for assessment packages.
• Evaluate security posture across AWS, applications, APIs, databases, containers, and infrastructure using vulnerability scanning tools.
• Assess control deficiencies, track corrective actions, and coordinate remediation through completion.
• Support contingency planning, incident response, disaster recovery exercises, and customer training.

Requirements

• At least five years of IT experience as a Security Lead or Information Security Analyst.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 controls, RMF, API security, and the OWASP framework.
• Experience with AWS architecture, cloud technologies, microservices, containers, zero trust concepts, data streaming, or data pipelines.
• Knowledge of Agile, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, network, systems, and software engineering principles.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DHS suitability and verify eligibility to work in the United States; an ISSO-relevant professional certification is required.
