Information Systems Security Manager (DoD Cybersecurity)

Location: Binghamton, New York, United States; professional office environment. Some travel may be required. Only U.S. citizens are eligible, and the incumbent must be eligible for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Salary: $129,100–$161,400 annually.

What you will do

• Integrate classified cyber security activities with program management and execute strategic security goals across assigned programs.
• Lead and mentor cyber security professionals while coordinating with program teams, engineers, architects, developers, and government stakeholders.
• Interpret JSIG and related requirements, conduct vulnerability and cyber risk assessments, and implement the Risk Management Framework.
• Develop authorization, security management, and continuous-monitoring documentation for networked and standalone information systems.
• Monitor security infrastructure and alarm devices for Indicators of Compromise using SIEM and other cyber security tools.
• Coordinate security control implementation, configuration management, technical investigations, data-integrity containment, and secure solution development.

Requirements

• Graduate degree with at least 2 years of related experience, or a STEM bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Active DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level III certification, such as CISSP, CISM, or GSLC.
• Subject-matter expertise in FIPS, NIST SP 800 series, JSIG, DAAPM, ICD, and related security standards and regulations.
• Experience managing cyber security requirements or teams in collateral, SAP, or SCI environments and leading authorization and approval of classified information systems.
• Experience managing people and technical resources and working with DCSA, Authorizing Officials, program managers, engineering, IT, and cyber security stakeholders.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a DoD Personal Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience with SIEM and compliance scanning tools such as Splunk, Nessus, ACAS, SCC SCAP, SolarWinds, STIG Viewer, or Vulnerator.
• Project management experience and the ability to motivate and develop cyber security team members.
