Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)

Location: San Francisco, United States; onsite role

Base salary: $150,000–$218,000 USD per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the information system security program across classified and unclassified systems in collateral and SCIF environments.
• Manage the RMF lifecycle, including categorization, control implementation, assessment, authorization, continuous monitoring, and accreditation.
• Develop and maintain System Security Plans, policies, procedures, POA&Ms, risk assessments, and authorization packages.
• Oversee security monitoring, vulnerability assessments, audit reviews, configuration management, patching, and STIG-aligned hardening across LANs, WANs, and standalone systems.
• Manage COMSEC, media control, data spill response, incident investigations, and reporting for malware and insider-threat events.
• Represent the organization during DCSA and Intelligence Community inspections and coordinate with Authorizing Officials and Security Control Assessors.

Requirements

• Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in ISSM roles supporting classified systems in collateral and SCIF environments.
• Demonstrated experience with eMASS and participation in DCSA assessments.
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent certification compliant with DoD Directive 8140.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required.
