Expert Coach II (DPP)

Location: USA - Any Location (Remote). Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Base salary: $32-$35 hourly, plus performance bonus and benefits subject to eligibility.

What you will do

• Provide one-to-one coaching and education to support behavior change, chronic-condition self-management, and improved clinical outcomes.
• Assess members’ skills, knowledge, barriers, motivation, and individual coaching needs.
• Apply a member-centered coaching approach aligned with Motivational Interviewing.
• Follow scheduling best practices, attend required meetings, and complete online or in-person training.
• Mentor less-experienced coaches and contribute to process improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Support educational content development and take on liaison, project, or cross-functional responsibilities for up to 30% of working time.

Requirements

• Current National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree required, with the ability to apply evidence-based principles and interpret the ADCES 7 DSME/T education model.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of diabetes science and current treatment options.
• Ability to provide quality member education, assess individual needs, and drive positive health behavior changes.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• CDC Lifestyle Coach certification for the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP).
• Advanced degree in a health-related field such as behavior, nutrition, or exercise.
• Bilingual Spanish and English communication skills.
