Behavioral Health Care Management Specialist (Behavioral Health)

Location: Remote within the continental United States; California, New York, Alaska, and Hawaii are excluded.

Base pay: $34.90–$57.89 per hour.

What you will do

• Conduct care management and health education programs for members of government healthcare programs.
• Gather, analyze, and provide data for regulatory reports.
• Represent the organization in communications with members.
• Present clinical issues to members and physicians while coordinating with internal staff, external vendors, and community resources.
• Manage medical management and health education programs independently.

Requirements

• Hold an unrestricted RN license with at least two years of direct clinical care experience, or an eligible unrestricted behavioral health license in the state of operations.
• Have at least three years of wellness or managed care experience and clinical practice experience.
• Have experience with medical data analysis, medical management programs, and health education programs.
• Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills for member, physician, management, vendor, and community-resource interactions.
• Be proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases, and web-based applications.
• Be able and willing to travel within the assigned territory and work from an eligible continental U.S. location.

Nice to have

• Behavioral health, patient education, condition management, government programs, or population management experience.
• Experience managing complex or catastrophic cases.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills.
• Certification in case management, training, project management, or a nationally recognized healthcare certification.
