Senior Product Designer - ShareGate (AI)

Location: Remote in Canada, with access to the Montreal office and in-person gatherings twice a year.

Base salary: CAD 125,000–160,000 per year, adjusted by region within Canada.

What you will do

• Own a complete product area from problem framing and solution design through launch and post-release learning.
• Design AI-first workflows that help IT professionals manage complex Microsoft 365 migration, governance, security, and organization tasks.
• Turn high-stakes enterprise scenarios into clear, trustworthy experiences that users can understand and act on quickly.
• Test bold product ideas with customers, measure outcomes, and adapt direction based on evidence.
• Use AI in the design workflow to create and test concepts quickly, including rough early versions with customers.
• Partner with product and engineering leads while raising design quality through critique, clear rationale, and decision-making.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience designing complex business software with shipped work owned end-to-end.
• Systems-oriented approach to designing complete user journeys rather than individual screens.
• Experience conducting regular customer conversations and using observed behavior to guide design decisions.
• Ability to explain design rationale, alternatives, trade-offs, and decisions to designers, engineers, and executives.
• Fluency using AI in the design workflow and judgment about when it improves the work.
• Ability to work with ambiguity, make decisions independently, and refine designs through production.

Nice to have

• Experience designing for IT, security, data, or other expert-user audiences where mistakes are costly.
