Senior Product Designer, Knowledge Graph

Location: Remote in the United States or Canada; East Coast US/Canada preferred, with other time zones considered for exceptional candidates.

Base compensation in the United States: USD $143,000–$180,000 annually. Compensation ranges and benefits vary by country.

What you will do

• Design experiences for Grafana Cloud’s Knowledge Graph, entity graph, entity catalog, and RCA workbench.
• Make complex and constantly changing system relationships easy to understand and explore without overwhelming users.
• Translate qualitative and quantitative research into clear, role-driven experiences for engineers, SREs, and other technical users.
• Document user needs, pain points, design directions, UX trade-offs, and detailed feature designs.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, technical writing, GTM, research, customers, and the Grafana user community.
• Coach and mentor designers and contribute to the evolution of Product Design practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant product design experience, preferably with B2B or enterprise software for developers or highly technical users.
• A portfolio demonstrating effective designs for complex products delivered in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience conducting qualitative research in complex fields and understanding user needs and pain points.
• Ability to balance business goals, product priorities, customer feedback, research insights, and technical considerations.
• Experience collaborating across locations and time zones in a fully remote environment.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn a complex technical product domain.

Nice to have

• Experience designing complex, data-dense interfaces with a focus on clarity.
• Knowledge of observability, cloud infrastructure, or database monitoring.
• Experience helping design teams improve practice, collaboration, and organizational impact.
