AWS Cloud Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate large-scale, secure, highly available AWS cloud platforms.
• Develop infrastructure as code and automation using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Design and operate Amazon EKS or ECS clusters at scale.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application workloads.
• Implement cloud security, IAM, encryption, key management, compliance, monitoring, alerting, and observability.
• Partner with application, security, and SRE teams to deliver resilient cloud-native solutions and improve production operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of cloud engineering experience, including at least 3 years focused on AWS in production environments; the position lists 6+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, and CloudFormation.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash, plus experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, containers, and cloud-native operations.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, or H-1B transfer candidates. New H-1B visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps Engineer – Professional certification.
• Experience with AWS Organizations, centralized governance, service mesh, eBPF-based observability, or zero-trust networking.
• Exposure to FinOps, cost optimization, and regulated workloads such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or FedRAMP.
• Familiarity with Go or PowerShell.
