DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Lackland AFB, Texas, United States; onsite at a customer site in San Antonio, TX 5 days a week

Salary: $103,691–$169,212 per year

What you will do

• Support cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS, and non-cloud edge infrastructure on on-premise and portable equipment.
• Automate deployment processes and maintain reliable, scalable, highly available services.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS infrastructure, including monitoring and production troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the infrastructure.
• Improve infrastructure tools, processes, performance, and operational reliability.
• Provide hands-on technical execution, mentorship, and team leadership.

Requirements

• Current TS/SCI-level U.S. Government security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• 5+ years of DevOps Engineering or Software Development experience with a related bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS services including EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Experience with application, container, and operating-system deployment, scaling, and management.
• Programming experience with Python, Bash, or Go; proficiency in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Must be able to work onsite at the customer site in San Antonio, TX 5 days per week and help open or close the workspace as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
• Experience with containers, EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Terraform.
