Lead Program Manager (EDA)

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Annual salary: $119,000–$221,000, with potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead planning and delivery tracking for product releases through multiple development and validation stages.
• Define release scope, goals, deliverables, milestones, and target timelines.
• Coordinate R&D, product validation, configuration management, product engineering, marketing, customer support, field applications engineering, and technical publications teams.
• Monitor and report release progress, product quality metrics, and key quality indicators to stakeholders.
• Develop and streamline software and hardware processes, identify bottlenecks, and drive operational excellence.
• Support product definition, ecosystem interoperability, and compatibility across operating systems and x86/Arm platforms for hyperscaler customers.

Requirements

• 7–12 years of experience in software development and validation processes.
• At least 4 years of program management experience and direct project management experience.
• Proficiency in program and project management, including planning, risk management, change management, and project management tools.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, managing people, and achieving target timelines in a fast-moving environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science; electrical or electronics engineering preferred. A master’s degree is preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, decision-making, communication, influencing, leadership, conflict management, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Electronic design automation domain knowledge and familiarity with software tool development, support, and deployment.
• Experience with Jira for issue tracking and management.
• Experience developing and deploying processes for software and hardware products.
• Experience monitoring and improving software quality.
