Software Engineer – Forward Deployed Engineer (AI Integration)

Location: Remote for candidates in the United States and LATAM, with availability to support working hours across U.S. Eastern through Pacific Time zones

What you will do

• Work directly with customers to understand technical environments, requirements, and opportunities for AI adoption.
• Build integrations, prototypes, and production-oriented solutions for AI-powered products.
• Connect products, APIs, services, and customer systems across diverse technical environments.
• Rapidly research unfamiliar technologies and turn customer ideas into working implementations.
• Explain technical concepts clearly and guide both technical and non-technical stakeholders through integrations and product adoption.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and customer-facing responsibilities in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack software engineering experience building modern applications and services.
• Proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI capabilities or AI-powered products into applications and existing systems.
• Experience with agentic architectures, AI agents, tool calling, REST APIs, and GraphQL integrations.
• Ability to rapidly prototype solutions, independently investigate unfamiliar systems, and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
• Strong customer communication skills, including the ability to clarify requirements and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Integration Engineer, or customer-facing software engineer.
• Experience building LLM-powered applications, AI agents, agentic workflows, or integrations with third-party AI platforms.
• Experience in education technology, especially products serving K–12 education.
• Experience turning proofs of concept into production integrations and supporting customer onboarding or technical product adoption.
• Familiarity with education technology integrations, platforms, or workflows.
