Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Redwood City, California, United States; hybrid with onsite work required at least 60% of the working month, approximately 3 days per week

Base pay: $190,000–$238,000 per year, with potential eligibility for a discretionary annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Collaborate with partner product managers, engineers, and decision makers to define goals, success criteria, and technical plans.
• Build prototypes, proofs of concept, and production integrations using Knowledge Graphs, Evaluators, Agent Skills, APIs, and datasets.
• Own technical delivery from architecture and testing through deployment and handoff.
• Turn deployment learnings into reusable solutions and improvements to products and developer experience.
• Create tutorials, API guides, code samples, reference implementations, and technical education content.
• Teach developers through technical posts, architecture walkthroughs, talks, workshops, live coding, and videos.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including launching new products or integrations from concept through production.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Python, with experience building APIs and data integrations.
• Experience collaborating directly with customers or partners to define and deliver technical solutions.
• Clear communication and teaching skills for explaining technical tradeoffs to engineers, product managers, and decision makers.
• Ability to work independently through ambiguity and balance speed, scope, and quality.
• Proficiency with agentic software engineering tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar, including reviewing and testing generated code.
