Embedded Software Engineer (Energy Applications)

Location: Mossville, Illinois, United States; onsite five days a week

Salary: $97,530–$146,290 per year

What you will do

• Analyze software requirements for embedded electronic control systems.
• Configure, integrate, build, and test embedded software for diesel engine, battery electric, and fuel cell applications.
• Create, execute, and document software and system test plans.
• Set up and configure test bench hardware and software.
• Perform mandatory and feature-specific testing using manual and automated methods.
• Troubleshoot software and system defects in laboratory, proving-ground, and field environments.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of software development tools, requirements analysis, and system testing practices.
• Ability to develop software solutions and execute testing strategies across the software life cycle.
• Strong technical communication and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work onsite five days a week in Mossville, Illinois.

Nice to have

• Experience with dSPACE, Git, Trace 32 Debugger, CANalyzer, Cat Electronic Technician, CAN/SAE J1939, Matlab, C, and Python.
• Engine or machine system development experience.
• Experience configuring, integrating, and building embedded software.
• Experience working with and troubleshooting electrical systems.
