Software Engineer II, Fullstack (Ads Platform)

Location: Remote in Canada, limited to candidates residing in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan.

Base pay: CAD $133,000–$183,000 per year.

What you will do

• Break larger software projects into tasks, deliver work in phases, and collaborate with the team to meet delivery goals.
• Build and launch web applications and scalable APIs for the Ads Platform.
• Partner with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
• Create and monitor operational metrics, support availability, and participate in on-call and keep-the-lights-on efforts.
• Contribute to team development through knowledge sharing, growth activities, and interviewing.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React.
• Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using Python or Kotlin.
• Ability to design solutions spanning multiple software components and write clear, well-tested, extensible code.
• Comfort navigating large codebases, debugging code, and participating in code reviews.
• Equivalent practical experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.
